Something ...

This is me and my sis. Hehe... Yesterday we went shopping after work and we bought the same shirt but with different colours. I looked pale I do not know why. I felt cold also today. Very tired!

This is wan keen and our niece. Yeah, she became aunt already. The youngest aunt in our family.

Guess what happened to my upper lip! Hahaha... It was hit by th
e frisbee. I played with my sister and it accidentally hit my lip. It was really painful, until my tears came out automatically and I felt a bit numb on my lips. Man! This is the worse accident ever I guess!!! Haha..First time got blue black on my lips as well.

Another view. Heheh...so ugly for so many days...

CHC

C.H.C.=>>> Children's Holiday Club. I've finally decided to take up the challenge. The following is the devotional passage that I read last night that convicted me to take up the challenge.

Exodus 4

Aaron is appointed to help Moses.

INSIGHT
God does not need any one of us. He wants us and He would like to use us, but God does not need us. Take away one person, and the work of God is not diminished - it goes on. When God calls us to a ministry, it is for our benefit. If we are unwilling or impure, He can get the work done through someone else. We must realize that everything God asks of us is ultimately for our benefit-even serving Him. Moses is a good example of that fact.

Since I've the "vision" to run camps for my special kids, since I've dream to do this for children, why not I take up this challenge to enrich my experience with children. This must be what God wants me to learn from this experience. God given chance to explore my gift.

Pray that I'll be well prepared and be courageous to speak in the public. Not nervous at the moment but need to discuss things with Uncle Jimmy soon. Wish me all the best and yes, pray for courage, confidence and wisdom as well as be expressive. Most importantly, through the stories, the young ones will get to know that God Is Real!!!

Indecisive

Okay, I think I may be taking up the job as a story teller for our Children's Holiday Club. I still have not decided whether I am able to take up this challenge. I actually have this vision, no, not so spiritual, but maybe this dream to tell story in front of children in the public. You know, before I attended the toy library conference, I already thinking if I can do it in real life instead of just dreaming about it. ( and i do not really think i can or I'll take up the challenge). After attending it, this feelings got even stronger and hope one day I'll be involved in a Toy Library. If I really wanna be skillful in this area I must step out from my comfort zone, if not how else can God help?

Should I take this as a learning ground or I just continue to do it in my Sunday school class and in center? Frankly, I am really not a good story teller. I need confirmation from God. I really need it. Please pray with me!

VERY AFRAID, if I take it up, I'm afraid I may spoil the whole thing! Haiz... Please tell me how, O God!

Another dream is to have camps for our special children! Hope we can make it soon!

Disappointed

You know I've something that I wanted to express it here. However, I just can't do that. I just can't be as detail as I wanted it to be. All I can say is, I'm very disappointed with this person. He has no words of encouragement at all. He just criticized people with words that are hard to swallow. I know everybody knows that. Everybody is trying to adapt to the way he speaks. Frankly, I kinda getting use to it. Just that when I see people got upset because of the stress that he is creating. I just couldn't take it. I really hope that he will stop degrading people with his tongue and start encouraging people from the bottom of his heart.

People did not tell you off doesn't mean that you are doing the right thing with your tongue. You maybe smart but your tongue is killing you!!!

I also know that I cannot just sit here complaining. I've to start praying for myself and for this person. Praying that we can work in harmony if we need to work together. And I'm looking forward to hear from God. I want to know what He wants me to learn.

Cloverfield II

umm.. Just wanted to add this. Rob's friends, willing to risk their lives though that girl was not really related to them. Hmm... This reminded me times when I wanted to be with Kok Ming. Last time he rode on a bike and yes, we traveled by motorbike. We went out at night on a bike most of the time. Remember, last time there was this gang of Malays robbed people by hitting them with helmets? I got so worried every time after he sent me home. I would wait for his call to make sure he reached home safely. At that moment I wished to be with him, though my presence can make the situation even worse, or i can't help much, I just wanted to be with him, to know his situation and condition.

Some times when he needed to do things late at night like going to a bank, I'll hope to go with him. I asked to follow or I'll persuade him not to go. Inside me I'll try to comfort myself by saying, "God will protect him, do not worry." But deep inside me I worried like hell, and kept praying till he reached home. Sigh...

Yeah, and every time he has locum, I'll get worried, I'll not have a good night sleep that night because I want to know that he is fine.

In short, I would like to experience happiness and sadness with him. And I wanna know everything that is related to him.

Cloverfield

Yeah, I just came back from movie-- Cloverfield. Yeah, I know what everyone is gonna say about it,"It'll make you sea sick!" Well, kinda agree.

You'll be surprised that I kind of like it. Yeah, the way of filming it is one thing. I like it because it provoked my thinking. I asked myself a lot of questions when I was watching it. You know, there is this guy called Robert Hawkins. He had an argument with the girl he loved during his farewell party. That girl left and not long after that the disaster started. Everyone was trying to flee but this guy, Rob was worried about his girl. He called her while racing towards the bridge. That was when his brother, Jason died.

After knowing that this girl, Beth was trapped at home. He decided to return to save her. His pals were trying to persuade him to move on but he did not want to listen and he told his pals that they will not be able to stop him. And his pals decided to go with him. During their journey back, they were attacked by that monster. One of the gals got bitten. When they reached a building, that gal died suddenly. They did not even have time to think what was going on. Isn't life is like that?

I was thinking, if I'm Rob, would i still go back to save Beth, and risk the lives of my friends. I really do not know what would I do. Hmm.. another question i asked myself was, "Would I be able to hold the camera in such situation!" Goodness, Hud did it. Would there be such person like Hud on earth?! ( Well, he died at the end).

At the end, Rob and Beth also died. Hmm..sure enough, Rob had true friends who would risk their lives for him. Then I asked myself," Do I have such friends on earth? And would i be a friend like that for some one?" Hmm... This is really interesting for me!

24 January 2008

None of Your business

I think we can get uneasy when people tell us that. I've been using this phrase quite often lately. However, I didn't mean it. I was just using it for fun. Well...especially for some questions that I do not like to answer or i feel that there's nothing to tell. (Now you know right? yes, I'm talking to you!)

I've been using "whatever" quite often also. Hahaha...irritating i know. I just like it. ( You can't help it, dude!) *blek*

Random

Lately I've known of a friend who is real funny or I should say, he's weird.

I cannot understand him, maybe that's his intention. Well... Let it be!

Not much input lately. I'm supposed to post a letter from that woman's husband. it's very touching and saddening as well. It shows how people around us feel when we refuse to let them care for us when we are in need of their support and help.

Yesterday, we started cleaning our house. I took care of my own room only. I found a lot of old pictures that I took with friends. I realized that I do miss some of them and some of them are already out of my mind, totally. I'm still keeping in touch with some of them and some of them I did not, at all.

It brought back a lot of memories.

Something happened to my family, it's kind of sad. My family bonding is really, really, really bad. Hmmm... Never mind, I've used to it!

I'm looking forward to meet my friends again. Primary school friends and secondary school friends. Hmmm... Ok, hope not Kopitiam again. Hahaha...

22 January 2008

...

I'm very tired. Duck walk, rabbit hop, cat and dog walk, horse gallop, bird fly...
Plus kids wanted "throws" up in the air. Tired... Tired cos of over exagerating my expressions that's why no mood and energy to talk at the farewell... sigh...

A Woman's Story_Autobiography

I know it's a long story but this is real.

I'd have to say I had a pretty decent childhood. Not great, but pretty good. I mean, I knew kids who had it a lot worse than me. We were middle- class, had a nice home, my mum and dad stayed married, and we went to church regularly.

I had a good mum. She and I were close when I was young. She loved me and did many things for me. I spent quite a bit of time with her.

My dad loved me, I guess. We didn't have much time together. The way my family worked was along gender lines: dad and my brother, Mike; mum and me. My dad clearly favored Mike and even though I wanted more time with dad, it didn't happen.

Dad didn't understand me. I couldn't please him, no matter how hard i tried. Grades, chores, my appearance--it was never good enough. He was critical of me and gave out compliments about twice a year. He didn't say "I love you" and wasn't known for being affectionate.

The truth is, he was cranky and difficult to be around. Mum said he had a tough childhood, was stress at his job, and didn't know how to relate to a girl. Oh well, that was the way it was. I'm sure i wasn't the only girl with dad like that.

Oh, there was one thing that really did bother me. One day-I think I was almost out of elementary school-I accidentally came across my dad's box of pornography in the attic. I was shocked and repulsed by those filthy magazines. That did hurt me. I remember crying in the room for a long time. I never told a soul.

I want to discuss how my family handled the expression of emotions and opinions. From early on in my home- as far back as i can remember- emotions were not expressed. Dad could get angry, but no one else could. Dad- and mum, too- just didn't let loose with their emotions. Everything was held in, stuffed down, and tightly controlled. Mike and I learned to squelch our feelings because we got punished for sharing anger, hurt, or any other intense emotion.

I remember getting angry once when I felt Mike got special treatment from dad. I actually said something at the table, and my dad told me,"Shut up. You have no right to feel that way." He told me in a loud voice (again, he could be angry) that I should be grateful to be in his family and to count my blessings.

It was the same way with any opinion I had. Once I entered middle school, I had some pretty strong opinions but was cut off at home when i tried to share them. If dad didn't agree with my opinion (and he seldom did), he'd say something like," Pipe down. You're wrong. What do you know about it?" He belittled me, so I stopped speaking up. He was always right, and i was always wrong. period.

Mum and dad didn't deal with conflict, at least, not that I ever saw. I really never saw them fight or work through a disagreement. I think dad called the shots, and mum didn't buck him. She kept the peace. I never knew how she felt about things and what her opinions were. She just kept on smiling and taking care of the home and us kids. She didn't work outside the home, although I think she wanted to. One day, she let it slip that she had dream of being an art teacher. When i probed, she just sighed and said," Your father and I decided I should stay at home with the kids." I figured it was dad's decision, not hers.

I almost didn't write this, but I decided it was important. When I was around 9 or 10, a neighbor's friend's older brother fondled me. He was in high school. It was at a sleepover, and he came into the room where i was sleeping. I think he thought i was asleep. He pulled down my panties and rubbed me for a few minutes. There was a noise some where in the house, so he quickly left. It only happened that one time. I felt dirty, ashamed, and confused. I never told anyone.

As I'm writing this, I'm starting to realize my childhood was painful. Not horrible, but painful. I'm feeling sad now. Sad about my dad, sad about not being able to express my emotions and opinions, and sad about being abused. Sad is a good word to describe most of my life.

Middle school was bad. Bad. Bad. Bad. I think this is when i first felt depressed. I felt so stupid and awkward. Very self- conscious. I hated my nose and my long neck. Some of the boys called me giraffe. That really hurt, but I had to pretend it didn't. I wasn't that good in school. I wasn't that good in sports. I wasn't good-looking or popular. I wasn't much of anything. I didn't know who I was. I couldn't find something I was good at.

I played the clarinet but wasn't very good. My parents didn't push me to get involved in any activities. I didn't click in my church youth group. I had a few friends, but we didn't spend much time together. I spent a lot of time in my room.

One incident in middle school stands out. It was in eighth grade, and Mary, the most popular girl in school, was having a big party at her house. EverybodyH was talking about it. Everybody, even the few friends that I had, seemed to be going, except me. I didn't get an invitation. I thought I would die from grief an sadness.

High school didn't get much better. I stayed depressed and apathetic most of the time. As i think back, I can see how the depression was limiting my life. I pulled inward. I lost all confidence and took no risks. I didn't try out for cheer leading or any sports. I didn't join any clubs. I didn't share my opinions, for fear I'd be rejected. I had a small circle of friends but didn't do many fun things. No boys asked me out. I did get better grades in high school, but that didn't make me feel any better about myself.

College was better-at first. i wanted to get a fresh start away from home. I made some good friends but still didn't have the guts to branch out and try new activities. I studied too much and should have more fun. I did feel closer to God my freshman year. I was having regular quiet times, talking with Him more during the day, and attending a local church. I was developing my own faith and not just following what my parents believed.

Then I met David and everything changed. I met him at the beginning of my sophomore year, and we got serious right way. We dated all that year and we were inseparable. I loved him and believed he loved me. I felt more alive and confident than I had in my whole life. My depression lifted, and the feeling was wonderful.

Right at the end of the year, we went all the way physically. I didn't plan to have intercourse, but it happened. I was so stupid. We had intercourse three more times. I will never ever forget staring at the home pregnancy test that told me i had a baby inside. I was horrified and scarred out of my mind. And I felt terribly guilty. What was i going to do?

When i told David, his reaction killed me. He was confused. He was angry at me. He blamed me for not using protection. He convinced me I had to get an abortion. He took me to a clinic, paid for it, and I had the procedure. Two days later, he dumped me.

I was never the same after that. All my newfound confidence and self-esteem evaporated overnight, and I was as depressed as I'd evern been. I went home for the summer and told no one. I was too ashamed. I got through my last 2 years of college, but it was a blur.

I met my husband near the end of our senior year, and we fell in love. I told him about the abortion, and to my great relief, he didn't get upset. He just wanted me to be okay with it. We didn't talk much about it. I have moved on and God has blessed me with my kids. But i still feel guilty about it.

The first few years of marriage were good, and my depression seemed better-not gone, but less intense and at least managable. The kids came along, and I was too busy with them to really notice how I was feeling about myself and my life.

I still live my life in safe, careful way. I don't take risks. I don't express my feelings too well. I don't do anything outside my comfort zone. I'm in a rut.

These last two years, I noticed my depression is deepening. It's like I can't control it anymore. It's getting worse by the month, and I'm scared. I'm not happy except once in a while. And it never lasts long. I'm edgy, tired all the time.cynical, having outburst of temper at the kids, not close to my husband, not close to my friends, and not close to God.

It doesn't take much to get me angry or to send me into a depressed funk: the kinds being noisy or disobedient, my husband coming home late from work, having a disagreement with my husband, hearing a sermon about the victorious Christian life, talking with my parents on the phone. It could be anything that triggers me. My tolerance is shot.

I'm tired of being depressed. I want to be happy. I can see now how long I've been depressed and he depresses me. Maybe I'm just meant to be depressed my whole life. I hope not, but I don't know how to stop it.

My dad, that slime ball brother of my friend, and David all hurt me badly. I'm feeling angry at them but don't know what to do about it.

Sad isn't' it?

Attitudes are habits of your Thoughts

If you think crazy, you'll act crazy!!!

I totally agree with this author. Here are some of the crazy stories he picked from the news:

*A man stole a car from a gas station. The owner had left his car at the gas pump to go inside and prepay for the gas. He left the car unlocked wit the keys in the ignition. The thief simply jumped in and took off. When he realised the tank was empty, the thief returned to the same gas station to fill up. He was met there by the police. Not exactly a criminal mastermind.

**A woman went to the same fast food restaurant twice a day for three years. She had a large hamburger, fries and a shake at lunch and at dinner everyday. She knew the manager and the workers by name. As a result of this diet, she developed serious health problems, including obesity, diabetes, and coronary heart disease. She sued the restaurant, claiming the staff should have warned her that their fatty food was endangering her health. Surprisingly, her lawsuit did not mention anyone holding a gun to her head and forcing her to gobble down these menu items.

***A young man strapped a refrigerator to his back and walked the course of a local footrace. He wanted to impress his friends with his strength and maybe get his picture in the paper. What he got was humiliation and severe injuries to his back. He sued the manufacturer of the refrigerator for failing to warn him of the potential consequences of carrying it's product on his back. Obviously, there should have been a large warning label: Although it is tempting, do not carry this appliance on your back.

See, some times what we do reflects how we think and how smart we are. Change the way you think and start moving forward with the right attitude.

Emotional buttons

Lately many things that happened reminded me of my old self. Last time, I used to be very moody. Whenever i saw things that I disliked or knowing that people telling lies and I couldn't do anything about it I'll became very unhappy. When people talked to me, I may just ignore or entertained them briefly. My kind of mood can actually make the situation even worse. I did not realized it until people kept telling me about it.

Now i finally understand how people suffered when I displayed this kinda mood. I was letting others to push my emotional buttons.

I am the only person who has the right to push my emotional buttons and you are too. We are the owner and we have the responsibility to fix our own setting. I think we shouldn't let others press that button and we can't simply press that button too. How? Many times we tend to dwell in negative thoughts. That is when we pressed it wrongly. We should press the fast forward button. Or rewind to incidents that God has helped us through. Then fast forward again to reflect and ask ourselves, what does God want me to learn from certain incident? (This is one of the points during devotion on Wednesday).

HMM...we must really handle the BUTTON well. It's dangerous. Anything can happen to us and to people around us if we fix the wrong setting...

BUGS

I HATE bugs!!!!

They annoyed me until i could not stand anymore. I hate bee, I hate moth and I hate beetle!!!

Few nights before, my sleep was disturbed by a beetle. It was flying around my dim light. On and off I got up from my sleep because I'm afraid it may bug on my shirt or something. Then, last night, before I went out. I went to bathroom, a moth suddenly flew in front of me. It hit my lips. What the....!

After I got home, I was going to lie on my bed. I was stung by a bee. It was dark, I couldn't see that stupid thing on my bed. Then I got up, told my mum about it and mum went in to my room, trying to kill it. But it played hide and seek with us. We lost at the end. Whole night I dare not sleep soundly. Sigh...

What's their problem? Why kept disturbing me? Oh man, I've had enough of these!

Too Silent

Being comfortable with who you are is far more impressive than joining the crowd.

I like this statement!

But lately I seemed unable to accept some people who have less words. I am one of them in a crowd though. Well, maybe I prefer a more joyful and a bit noisy work environment. At least talk about something during lunch or whenever we have free time.

My time really passed very slowly with the silence in the center. I seldom on radio lately. Previously, the first thing I'll do once I stepped in to the center was switch on the radio. Now, i can literally hear the sounds of the spinning fans very clearly though there are 4 of us there. Hmmm... Maybe we are still not comfortable with each other.

hmmm...I always looked silly in the center. I tend to look for topic to talk about but today I just did not have any topic. hmmm...

I'm trying to accept the fact but still hoping for miracle to happen:P

Peter

My sister is well now. She started talking today. Hmm... I taught her driving this morning because we reached center very early and no one was there yet.

I was quite afraid.

Before I went for driving lessons, Peter taught me a few times at Stadium Indera Mulia and let me practice at different places. He let me drive his car. He is one of the people that i admire. He is very generous, he does not support pirated stuff. He does not even let people rip songs from his CDs. He is that convicted. He provided many of my needs and wants. The car that I'm driving now was bought over from him as well.

If I did not have this friend i think i'll not have the courage to teach my sister. I'm not rich, anything happens to my car I'll have to spend for the repairs, which can be very costly. He bought me CDs or give me CDs and books. And i'm doing that to some of my friends also.

He really influenced me a lot. I learned to be generous, i learned to be practical, i learned to be helpful. The first movie that i made for Vineyard Keepers was from the videos and pictures that he took there during their Thanksgiving Night. I learned a lot of things from him, really.

He is really like a brother who cares very much. My own sister never did that to me. He is another person that i'll not forget in my life. The first person who shook my hand in the church, then our friendship was built. My "driver" for many years, haha!
From Ipoh to Kelantan and basically when i needed lifts, he'll send. The person who prayed with me in front of my house after my father fits in the middle of the night.

I really thank God for him. The support that he gave in many ways. Hope he is serving happily in KL and may God grant him a fruitful life!

Talk Too Much

It's another new year. There are reports to distribute. Yeah, the children's reports and their latest educational plans. Many of the parents are not highly educated. So i gotta explain to them line by line, and translating it line by line.

At first my throat started to feel dry then sore throat and swollen gums came. Now it turned out to be flu. E.N.T. --Ear, Nose and Throat, they are linked together that's how it happened. I'm feeling very tired. Not only physically but emotionally.

I'm very afraid that I'll get the same problems as last year. I'm very afraid that I cannot lead well. There are new people, i kept thinking how to help them understand the work better, how to provide the best service to the kids, then i got afraid that i may confuse them even more!! Sigh...

(That's how i got tired!)

I'm not sure if it's my problem or that person's problem. He couldn't get my point most of the time. This actually stressed me out a lot. I felt that I'm a failure, wondering why i couldn't deliver my instructions well. Maybe we both have the same problem. I don't know. I'm trying my best to give clear instructions and making sure that he gets me. I just hope that this can help reduce our stress. Also don't want to make him feel that he always carried out the wrong thing as it could be my problem.

Glad to see improvement in everyone. Hoping that we can work well together. May God unite us!!! Keep it up...

I'm very lazy to write 'coz i have been talking a lot. *TIRED*

I don't know What's wrong

I really do not know what's wrong with my sister since last night. I asked her but she said she doesn't know. She kept crying last night. sigh... Today she was better but she did not talk whole day.

I prayed for her this morning. Nothing else I can do. I'm wondering if it's me who caused her to be sad or is she having some personal struggles...a lot of questions in my mind. I want to care but she refused to let me care. maybe she is not ready.
*shrug*

Mission

After the MLM today, I got to crack my head to find out what is my mission in life. My mission? I know i have, i just couldn't gather my mind yet. Maybe I did not have that focus that's why I couldn't tell right away. Or am i still searching. I need help in this...

12 January 2008

Sorry

Today after Frisbee, We were leaving. Kok Ming, Kevin, Wai Kit and I were in Kar Wai's car. When we were getting ourselves into the car, Kok Ming asked Wai Kit to put the things on his lap so that there will be enough space for three of them. But Wai Kit was fighting back. When I saw it i got very angry and I scolded him. I was quite harsh. I was unwell that's why I was irritable. But it's not an excuse.

After we reached church, I got down from the car. I waited for Wai Kit to get down, then I pulled him aside. I talked to him and explained to him why i scolded him. I apologized for being harsh and i asked for forgiveness. He forgave me and he told me he knew he was wrong too.

After he had forgiven me then only I felt better. Sigh... I was very angry with myself also because I was harsh. Glad that everything is settled now. Sigh...so tired. Really feeling unwell.

Kneeling in front of the Church

Just now when i was on my way back home. Those who know my house, there is a coffee shop called "San Yuen Loong". There's a Chinese Methodist church next to it. I saw an Indian man, kneeling in front of the church, praying.

He wore red shirt and red shorts. Hmm... Don't know what's wrong with him. He maybe having problem and needs God's mercy. Hope God will answer his prayer and hope that this man will be able to know the Lord if he has not accepted him.

Praise God for this scene. Just glad to see that people want to know the Lord and people need the Lord.

Obedience is Costly

Genesis 12

God establishes a unilateral covenant with Abraham.

The opposite of obedience is unbelief; the essence of obedience is belief. If you truly believe God is totally good and all powerful, if you truly believe He always acts for His children's benefit, you will obey whatever He asks of you. It is when you doubt these truths that obedience to the Lord becomes difficult. The New Testament tells us: "Abraham believed God" (James 2:23). Therefore, he obeyed when God said, "Get out of your country" (Genesis 12:1). Are you struggling with obedience in an area of your life? Perhaps there is something in the Scriptures you do not truly believe. Search your life, and in the tradition of the disciples, ask the Lord to increase your faith (Luke 17:5)

To friends that are struggling with obedience. I hope this helps. This is for myself as well. Last year i subscribed an online devotion, so this is today's devotion.

Our Theme Wall , Our Hardwork

Every year, we change our theme wall and every year I enjoyed making it! Last year, Vincent prepared Canning Garden center's theme wall and I prepared Pengkalan Center's. Well, we worked happily together. At times i got irritated by him, the perfectionist. Hmmm... Read from a site called Troubled With, a perfectionist is a person with low self- esteem. Well, what do you think?

Here are some of the pictures of our theme walls. And some memorable stories to share with you.

This is Pengkalan center's theme wall. The theme is "The Wonders of His Love."
In the middle, there's a stable and under the stable, there are baby Jesus, Joseph and Mary. Around the stable there are animals rejoicing for the Newly Born King. I chose this because I want to remind myself as well as other people that God sent his Son to die for our sins.

This is it. The stable.

Another view.

This is Canning Garden center's theme wall. The theme is "Sailing in His Love." When Vincent was preparing this theme wall, the flood came and we had an "exciting" experience. (read his blog about the flood). The flood came twice. And we always sang this song,"In Christ in the vessel we can smile at the storm!" Well, we did. Hahaha...

This is Giann (right?). We named the gals and boys on the wall after our student's name. She is sailing happily.

My sis asked me to take the water drops. Was there any story about it? Hmm... both of you spent a lot of time placing the water drops, right?

Ok,this is Vincent's cool sun. At least he thinks that it's cool :p

This is Desmond. The fattest boy in the center.

What do you think this is? Well, according to Vincent, it supposed to be a jelly fish, but it ended up to be like this. He asked me to help him make fish. And i thought it was one of those fish that i'd made, so if you turn to the back, it is a fish. Oh, whatever...keke

If I am not wrong, there was no crab in his draft. But he insisted to make his crab. Hahaha... He took the coloured paper, happily drawing and cutting it. Before it was put up on the wall, we thought the legs part were stones...

Whenever i see this yacht i will feel sorry. Can you see the purple part? After he completed the purple part, he placed it in the basket where we put those unwanted paper. So i thought it was one of those. I took it and i cut it for my theme wall. When i got this paper, i was wondering why the shape of this paper was so perfect. Because usually those unwanted papers do not have nice shapes. Glad that he manage the find another purple paper to fix his broken yacht though the tone was different.

This really brings back a lot of memories. Haha..the craps that we had. The laughters that we shared. Everybody shared laughters and craps. We werre really like a family.

Unequal Yolk...Please Come Back

Wow, so many days i did not post anything up here and my target is to reach 100 posts then i may stop updating it. Well, do not ask me why because I'm not sure. Maybe I'm just lazy to maintain this blog or...I don't know. Whatever.

I'm now very sad for a friend who maybe going after a non- Christian. I'm sad for his family. Especially when I see his mum, my heartaches. Umm... We are praying for him. I believe God can work it out, but the choice is still with him. I did not give up our friendship. From the day I know him until now, I still love him and still care for him. I'm not sure if he has given up all friendship with all of us or he is still with us.

I just pray that he will make the right decision.

I just hope that he will start coming back to the group.

I just hope that he can overcome the bitterness that he maybe having.

Pray with me...

God Spoke once again...And He put everything into Place

Yes, once again God spoke to me! You may find it ridiculous if you are not a Christian. He comforted me in some of the difficult situations, spoken to me in very small matters, I considered all these as precious as gold.

Last year, when the choir and actors had the final rehearsal, a thought came to me. During that time I was sort of thinking what to teach my Sunday school class in year 2008. When the actors and actresses were talking... this little voice was telling me," Hey, teach about the life of Jesus!" And I was like ok, I'll keep it in view. Until the last day of year 2007, I still had not started looking for materials until today.

Today, I told Mun Yan that I'm gonna teach about the life of Jesus. I did not have any materials at hand, only the Bible. So I thought of going to Sufess or Gladsounds to look for it. However, Mun Yan talked to uncle Jimmy about this, he said next to the EY room, there is a library for Sunday School teachers. I knew about it two years ago. But I never thought of going there to have a look. I went with Mun Yan though. And we really found a very useful one. It is a very, very old resource. Can you imagine? It's during Mun Yan's time. They used this when they were still kids. It's 20++ years ago ok?

We found a very good material. There were two work books with the same titles but with different activities. There's a teacher's guide book. And we had decided to get it photostated and then distribute to the children. With the work books, children will not have to depend on their memory when teachers ask them what they have learned last week. They will have something to refer to.

Frankly, I did not know that Sunday school classes can have work book. The church did not give us any. Usually we look for the worksheet online or from other resources. One day, I went to the Chinese Assembly. I saw the children all have a work book with them. I was very jealous. So that time, I already thought of having a work book for my class. And the most wonderful thing is God provided it all!!!

It's really wonderful! This little thing can actually boost up your faith towards God! He will surely provide our needs according to his glorious riches! I have no chance to doubt about his little voice. It was His voice, His decision!

*shame* shame*

Ok, i felt shameful about this. I couldn't imagine how i could mixed up Isaac's father and Jesus' father! Sigh...I told Kok Ming that Jesus' father is Abraham. I totally forgot about it. Oh man! Sangat memalukan lah!!!

I taught my Sunday School kids about Isaac. But I...I...I... sigh...
I think that's why God prompted me to teach the kids about Jesus this year. Hmmm... I think i really need to.

That shows how good is my bible knowledge. Kian Aun was wrong, he thought sunday school teacher's bible knowledge is always great! Well, I'm one of those poor and forgetful one.

*shame* Shame*

Kellie's Castle Prt. 2

This is the way to the guard house and the horse stable. See the orange colour thing? Hahaha...

I hope you can see what it is written there. It's a tunnel. People throw coins inside. Umm...I do not understand why they did that.

Not sure what is this hut for. No description also...

This is the river i mentioned before.

This is the wine cellar where they're planning to keep their wine. This room is very cooling. The room next to this is a bar.

There are a lot of holes like this on the wall. I like it so i took a picture of it. During those time, they did not have fan so all this holes are very important!

Not sure what is this called already! He planned to view the scenery from here. It's really high... very scary oh when we were standing u there!

This is another view.

I like this picture very much. It's not easy to take with the camera of my phone... i gotta squat very near to the ground then only manage to take this part of the building.

simply...

Yea, i like trees! I enjoy looking at trees with very nice shape? Do we describe it that way?

Well, i guess this is the end of this castle thing... Boring huh?!

Kellie's Castle

Here are some pictures about my New Year trip. Yes, your did not see it wrongly. I went to Kellie's Castle with Kok Ming. Hahaha... I knew many people felt that there are nothing. But i enjoyed the trip very much. I think it because I was with Kok Ming and we love buildings. That was our first time there. What a shame if we who are from Perak have not been to that place, right?

This is a tree with a bear on the trunk. It really looks like a grizzly bear.

We started from the ground floor. I took this picture from across the river.

This is the original house which this person called Kellie Smith stayed with his family. Did i get his name right? I hope so...

Kok Ming started taking photos. I purposely took this picture. haha..i just want to get him involve :p

see, He is taking another picture...

Is this picture nice?

He is walking. I do not think he knew that i was taking a picture of him. Maybe when he sees this he'll scold me :p

Simply...the "roof" of that yellow house.

Itchy hands! $*#*.@ %* it!

What are you Thinking?

I wonder what is in his mind. I wonder what kind of a person am I to him? I really wonder a lot of things. I couldn't find an answer. I'm having a lot of fears. I need to seek God again.

Alvin and the Chipmunks

Yeah, I finally brought Wan keen for this show! She enjoyed it very much and we( Wan Sian and I) enjoyed it too. The singing was just too "cun". I forgot that I always watched this during my childhood. I love Simon the most though Alvin is the main character. He is cute with his nerdy specs. I hope to watch it again, yes, again!

Check this out.

Here are some of the pictures

This is Theodore, he enjoys food. Yian, sounds like you lar :p

After drinking coffee, they became hyperactive! Hahaha...

They got their first Christmas presents!

Theodore always had nightmares...

When they danced.

I guess we are like the chipmunks. We look for satisfaction from the world. We hate rules being set, we misunderstand others, we want what we think is good, when we do not get it, we may think that it's not fair, this person doesn't love us enough etc.. Complains after complains.

I received an SMS before, it says,
" In life, God does not give you the people you want. Instead, He gives you the people you need to teach you, to hurt you and to love you. So that you'll be exactly how you should be!"

And in Romans 12:2, it says,
" Do not copy the behaviors and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

God's plan is really good. The process is tough...and painful! I think i'm in the process. However, i felt like giving up! It's a waste if i give up now. i know...

Pride?

I really do not think that a person with low self- esteem is due to PRIDE! I really do not think so. Maybe there are some facts...But we need to see case to case. Not everyone with low self- esteem is because of PRIDE.

Aunt Cindy said," No. A person with no self-worth, no self- value and no self- esteem is due to inferiority complex. Pride is not the right word."

What say you?

*Aunt Maria said I have a good name. She said God gave me this name for a purpose. Except Shan, they all call me One Way! Hahaha...yeah, I'm quite proud of my name. The first people who gave me this name was Clarence and Vincent they all. That happened when we were still with the OA team.

Haha...Vincent always sang this song in the center. He influenced my sister as well. That day after work, once my sister got down from the car, she sang it. *crazy* =P

He is in my Mind, I'll never Forget !

This morning after the first 2 songs, uncle Jerry, for the first time after 6 years in church, he came up to give thanks to the Lord for the blessings that he had received. Hmmm...He prayed for his wife, his children and he said "not forgetting Alan". Yeah, I've been thinking of him lately. Every year I'll think of him, some how.

People maybe wondering how i got to know him. Yeah, definitely not from church. I was not a Christian yet. We got to know each other through a Chinese Society Gathering. He was one of the members or one of the committee members, I'm not really sure. It was held at his school. Hmm... I still remember they sang a Chinese song for us, as in the guests. After some games, they started the Autograph thing. That was the most frightening session for me. WHY? I know it's stupid but i was really frightened. It was a bit dramatic as well. READ ON>>>

I was surrounded by guys, many, many guys. I went with friends and they left me alone i am not sure why (during the autograph session), maybe they were busy writing autographs. The guys wanted my names and contact. However, i did not give 'coz i was lazy to write. I just penned down my name and wishes.

After that i remember, there was another guy came to me for the same thing. I do not know how i left with him my contact number and address. May be he specifically asked for it. And... that was Alan Tan Kien Leong!

I still remember Chinese New Year was around the corner, I was helping my mum to get things done. And at 12 midnight sharp, my house phone rang. I was very young then. People always frightened me with all the ghost stories. That was why i did not dare to answer the call. So i asked my mum to answer it. AND...who knows...

IT WAS FOR ME!

I was puzzled! With the frown, i really wondered who would call me at this hour. It was 00:00 sharp!

It was Alan! I'm not sure of the reason he called me. All I knew was we became friends. On and off he will call me after that first call. BUT, there was a few months he did not call me which i felt some thing was not right. I tried calling him b'coz i was worried. Then, i got to know he was in Australia. After he came back, he called me. AND THAT WAS THE LAST CALL.

I read from newspaper that this guy met with an accident, died on the spot. I saw his photo. But i was not very sure if it was him because we met once only. That time i started my part time job. And Celine was from his church. She mentioned to me about his death. I did not know it was him. After the second day i finally confirmed, it was HIM!!! I grieved for some time. I started joining the Sunday School trip to the zoo. Since then, i started going to church.

His death brought me to church indirectly. I'll never forget him. He was the most unique friend of mine!!! yeah, uncle Jerry, I'm sure he is very joyful in heaven now! I'm sure!!! We will see him there, sure we will!

The Wedding

This is the newly wed couple. Kok Ming's sister and his new brother- in- law. Hmmm... so...i was the bride's maid.

They are Kok Ming's eldest brother and his girl friend.

They are Kok Ming's second brother and sister- in- law. I admire both of them because they are very appreciative and very humble. They always offer help to the family. They are kind and friendly! Steven boy's parents :)

Here we are. Em..We seldom take photos together. We are a bit "Kayu"!

This is his youngest brother and his girl friend. They are still studying :)

These photos are blur because i took from the photo album. I hope that photographer did give a disk to his parents. Then i can keep it for myself. Hmmm... Each couple of the family were required to take a shot. His dad's request. There are more but i only took a few.

The one on the right is Steven and the one on the left is Karen. Hmmm...They are so cute. The girl is boyish and the boy is girlish. hahaha...i really think so.

Hmmm...i like to take care of baby. That day Steven's mum left him with me. They went to the groom's house so left us at home. I played with him, made him milk and water and changed clothes etc. I really enjoyed it. Wan Keen has grown up, i long time did not have this chance to do this. However, when i thought of bringing up children which will take me 24 years at least, i freak out!
